Hi, my name is Mila.
I am the mother of two kids: seven year old boy Matthew and two year old dog Barley. Moved to Australia together with my hubby and my son in a bump about 8 years ago and instantly fell in love with this country. My passion in photography started back in 2009 when I got my first DSLR camera for my wedding as a present from my friends. Since then it became my favourite hobby to capture thousands of amazing moments and memories for my family and friends. Photography for me is a certain type of meditation where I can be myself and express my creativity and vision of the world around. Possibility to experiment and develop are endless like in any other type of art and that what makes it even more exiting and something you can never get bored off.
Hi, my name is Kate.
I am also mother of two great kids: seven and six year old boys. Till the recent events in Europe I lived in Ukraine and over seven years worked in a professional studio as an assistant and post production manager doing photo processing and retouching. We have specialised in maternity, baby and newborn photography. I have really good experience working with babies and newborns, know all the secret tips and tricks to calm your baby and position it for really great shot to create a priceless memory. After unplanned separation from my husband and my home (due to well known reasons), I felt really empty and emotionally numb without possibility to do my job that I really loved.

We are almost like sisters and best friends ever. We have finally decided to join all our efforts, skills, passion, experience and love for photography to create a "joint baby”. That’s how Mila and Kate Photography was born. We are ready and keen to capture the best moments and priceless memories for you and your families.

Before the session
Let us know which session you are interested in by contacting us and we can discuss all the details. This helps to understand what you're after and gives an opportunity to know each other. Once we understand your requirements we can discuss the best date, time and location for the shoot. After we provide you with payment details for the first deposit and it's all completed, we lock the booking in my calendar.

During the session
Oh, thank you for trusting us with your memories! Our goal is to make you comfortable and relaxed throughout the session and take all the work into our hands. If it is newborn session we take care of the baby and do all necessary things to keep you away from daily routine. Sit back and let the magic happen.

After the session
Usually, we send few photos 1-2 days after the session, so you can enjoy them straight away. Remaining photos will be provided within 1-2 weeks, depending on our capacity.
All the photos are provided fully edited, retouched in high resolution and shared via personal online gallery created for you.
FAQ
Where is your home studio based?
Our home studio is located in a mice suburb of Kareela in Sutherland Shire, Sydney.
How many pictures will we receive?
Depending on the package you will receive between 20 and 50 fully edited, retouched, high resolution photos.
How should we dress for our session?
It is all up to you. However, the best things that I recommend are those in neutral colours (whites, cream, brown, terracotta) with mix of different textures. Plain things without bold, bright prints usually work the best.
What’s the best time to book a session with a newborn?
When you already know your due date. Session is usually secured for you with a tentative date and confirmed only after baby is born.
The session is best held when baby is under 4 (ideally 2) weeks old while they are sleepy.
What's the best time to have maternity session?
The best time is usually after week 30 and until you are still feel comfortable to have a session.
